Despite the title this is not a D.I.Y blog on fixing broken dream catchers. We just don't have time for dreams these days (let alone fixing dream-catchers which you can buy from your local cheap-ie shop for less than $5)... But honestly who does?!
That's the sad truth but how did this happen to us? Somewhere between our childhood hopes and dreams of becoming vet's, astronauts and rock star's that famous metaphorical line became blurred together with friends, body image and stereotypes. Then eventually school becomes serious, relationships and peer pressure add up and balancing that with work on weekends, staying healthy and positive as well as meeting the many expectations from family, friends, society and yourself...Dreams become irrelevant and that's the sad truth.
We need to prioritise and emphasise what a major impact our dreams have on our lives. We spend years of our lives asleep, years of our lives dreaming. Some of us dream of the perfect house, the perfect partner, the perfect job and finally the perfect us.
Whether we get there or not is up to us and that my friends is what makes dreaming so god dam RELEVANT!!!
So make time to relish the memoeries, relive the dreams in reality but in the end it's how you do that that counts.
